Red Giant mustard produces bold, purplish-red leaves with bright green veins, bringing ornamental color and spicy flavor to garden beds or containers. The thick, tender leaves can be harvested young for salads or allowed to mature for pickling, wilting, and cooking. Their rich mustard flavor develops horseradish-like heat as the leaves grow larger or temperatures rise. This bolt-resistant variety tolerates both heat and frost, grows 12"–24" tall in full sun to part shade, and matures in approximately 40 days.
