Truchas is a compact organic mini-romaine with glossy, upright cherry-red leaves and contrasting green midribs. Its crisp texture and rich color make it an excellent choice for Caesar salads and mixed greens. Plants stay under 12" tall, grow well in containers, and mature in approximately 21–48 days in full sun to part shade. This frost-tolerant variety resists downy mildew, lettuce die-back, and lettuce mosaic virus. The seeds are pelletized with an organic coating for easier handling and sowing.
