Statuary Care & Maintenance

Proper maintenance is recommended to help protect statuary from the freeze-thaw cycles that occur during winter. Any piece that can hold water, snow, or ice, as well as any piece placed directly on the ground, may be damaged by repeated freezing and thawing.
Statuary should be placed on a flat, level surface to ensure pressure is evenly distributed.

Statuary may be cleaned with mild soap and a soft-bristle brush. Do not use bleach, as it may affect the patina or finish.

To help maintain the finish, apply a clear acrylic spray rated for outdoor use once a year.

Statuary left outdoors during winter should be raised off the ground by placing two pressure-treated wood strips underneath the base, with one positioned near each end.

Statuary must be covered with an appropriate outdoor statuary cover. Do not use a tarp or any other type of plastic, as these materials may trap moisture and cause damage.

Covers should be checked weekly and after storms or heavy snowfall. Covers may shift and expose the cast stone to damaging moisture.

Statuary, fountains, benches, and birdbaths do not come with a manufacturer's warranty.
