Consistent filling is required to maintain a proper water level. How often a birdbath should be filled depends on the specific weather conditions where the birdbath is placed.

Keep the birdbath free of debris to help maintain proper water care. Periodic cleaning will help preserve the appearance of the birdbath.

Birdbaths may be cleaned with mild soap and a soft-bristle brush. DO NOT use bleach, as this may affect the patina.

Algaecides available at pond supply or garden shops may be used to help control algae buildup.

To help maintain the finish, we recommend applying a clear acrylic spray rated for outdoor use once a year.

Birdbaths must be completely drained and dried before the first freeze. Birdbaths must be covered with an appropriate birdbath cover, not a tarp or any other type of plastic.

Covers should be checked weekly and after stormy weather or heavy snowfall, as they can shift and expose bowls to moisture damage.
