Organic Parris Island Cos Romaine Lettuce Seeds

Organic Parris Island Cos is a vigorous heirloom romaine developed by the USDA and Clemson University around 1950. The upright, 10"–12" heads feature slightly crinkled green leaves, crisp ribs, and a sweet, buttery-green heart. Enjoy the tender leaves as baby greens, in salads, or as sturdy lettuce wraps. Harvest baby leaves in about 21 days or full-sized heads in approximately 68 days. This heat- and frost-tolerant variety grows in full sun to part shade, resists tipburn, and tolerates lettuce mosaic virus.
