Concrete Pedestal & Riser Care and Maintenance

Proper maintenance is recommended to protect your concrete riser from the freeze-thaw cycles that occur during winter.

Place the riser on a flat, level, permeable surface such as gravel or concrete. Do not place it directly on soil, mulch, grass, or another surface that may shift or retain moisture.

Clean with mild soap and a soft bristle brush only. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals.

To help maintain the finish, apply a clear acrylic spray rated for outdoor use once a year.

Before the first freeze, make sure the riser is completely dry. Store it in a garage or shed when possible. If it remains outdoors, prevent it from freezing to the ground and protect it with an appropriate outdoor cover. Do not use a tarp or plastic, as these materials can trap moisture and cause damage.

Concrete pedestals and risers do not come with a manufacturer's warranty.
