Organic Salad Bowl Blend combines two award-winning heirloom lettuces from the 1950s. Green Salad Bowl produces wavy, lobed green leaves, while Red Salad Bowl develops deeply lobed burgundy foliage with richer color in cool weather. Both varieties remain sweet without developing a bitter flavor during summer heat. Harvest tender baby greens in about 21 days or mature leaves in up to 50 days. This heat- and frost-tolerant blend grows under 12" tall in full sun and performs well in containers. Sow successively for fresh lettuce from spring through late fall.
