Concrete Splash Block Care & Maintenance

Position the splash block beneath the downspout on a flat, stable, well-draining base. Angle it slightly away from the building so water flows toward the outlet rather than collecting near the foundation.

Make sure the entire splash block is evenly supported. A compacted gravel or paver base can help prevent settling, rocking, or uneven pressure.

Keep the channel and outlet clear of leaves, soil, and other debris. Clean with mild soap and a soft-bristle brush only. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals.

To help maintain the finish, apply a clear acrylic spray rated for outdoor use once a year.

Before freezing weather, remove debris and standing water. Store the splash block indoors when possible or ensure it remains fully supported and drains freely throughout winter.

Concrete splash blocks do not come with a manufacturer's warranty.
