Dirani Summer Squash produces tender, sweet fruits on compact plants that continue yielding throughout the summer. The light greenish-white squash has delicate speckling and is best harvested at 6"–7" long. Pick the fruits while small for fresh use or allow them to grow larger for stuffing and baking. This versatile squash is traditionally used for the Middle Eastern dish koosa and works well in any recipe calling for zucchini. Plants grow 12"–24" tall, thrive in full sun and mature in approximately 50 days. Large leaves help protect developing fruits, and the compact habit is suitable for containers.
