Birdhouse Hard-Shelled Gourd produces light green gourds with a 10"–12" round base and a narrower neck. Once dried, the gourds turn tan and develop durable shells that can be painted, carved, cut or drilled for birdhouses and other craft projects. The vigorous annual vines grow 10'–16' long and can be grown along the ground or supported by a very sturdy trellis. Gourds mature in approximately 95–110 days, and the flowers attract hummingbirds.
