Concrete Pedestal Care & Maintenance

Proper maintenance is recommended to protect your concrete pedestal from the freeze-thaw cycles that occur during winter.

Place the pedestal on a flat, level surface to ensure its weight is evenly distributed. Do not place it directly on soil, mulch, grass, or another surface that may shift or retain moisture.

Clean with mild soap and a soft bristle brush only. Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals.

To help maintain the finish, apply a clear acrylic spray rated for outdoor use once a year.

Before the first freeze, make sure the pedestal is completely dry and cover it with an appropriate outdoor statuary cover. Do not use a tarp or plastic, as these materials can trap moisture and cause damage.
