These hand-made pieces of art from Le Primitif Gallery are created in Haiti from reclaimed steel drums. Creating art from these drums has been a way for local artisans to secure income. To create this art, steel drums are flattened and stories are drawn. Each piece is individually cut out by hammer and chisel, making no two identical. Each piece carries the artist’s signature.
